Hi everyone, I can't believe it's almost February! That means Valentine's Day is around the corner and I can't wait. I hope my man does something romantic and fun. Any ways this month I have been using a lot of routine products and while not all of them are products I would repurchase, I definately do not regret buying them to try out.
So this month I haven't really been using a face primer because I bought the new Maybelline foundation that has the primer in it. And I do like the texture of this foundation, but I think I picked the wrong shade because it seems a bit too tan for me. I don't think it's noticable to other people but it is noticable to me (the offness of the shade). I also feel that it turns a bit organgey as the day progresses. Overall though I do like it and I plan to use it all before trying out either the Mac Mineralize moisture foundation that should be out soon or the L'oreal Magic Lumi foundation..I haven't decided which yet.
For eye primer, I usually use my Urban Decay in the shade eden, but I picked up a Revlon shade stick in torch and have been using that daily under all of my eyeshadow. I like to take the lighter color all over the lid and the darker one in the crease and the outer corner of my eye. Then I just put whatever eyeshadow I'm wearing over top and it lasts all day with no creasing. I've used neutral shades as well as pinks and purples over top and it looks great in my opinion.
For my highlight I've been loyal to my Essence Breaking Dawn highlighter. It doesn't accentuate my pores or leave me looking oily or greasy which is something that I have to be careful of because I have oily skin.
My eyebrows have been looking great all month with the Revlon.....two in one eyebrow pencil and gel. I don't know the official name off the top of my head and I am too comfortable in bed to get up and check. I mostly use the pencil end and I really like it because I can fill in my brows subtly or intensely with ease. The color matches great too. I also have been trying out the Milani brow pen stain. I'm too sure about it, it seems to have already have dried up quite a bit and I bought it only two weeks ago. It might just be the nature of the product though. It gets the job done and I will use it completely.
Lastly, my Physicians Formula felt tip eyeliner which I've had for over a year is still going strong! Granted I don't use it everyday, but often enough that I'm surprised it hasn't dried up much at all. I will definately repurchase this once it's gone because it is my favorite eyeliner ever!! It does claim to have a serum in it that helps to grow fuller and longer lashes but I haven't really noticed the results. Then again I have pretty average lashes so I'm happy with how they are anyways.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I know pictures would make it even better but until I can get my hands on a decent digital camera that is capable of focusing on close objects you will have to live with just my words. Any questions or comments please feel free to comment below, I'd love to hear from you.

Hello!!
So recently I've done just a little bit of shopping, I'm trying to be good because MAC is releasing a bunch of new collections in February and April. So today I want to tell you about the physicians formula mood boosting bronzer that is new for spring 2013. I was drawn to this bronzer not because I need a bronzer but because it is made of a bunch of small loose multi colored bronze hearts! How cute is that!! So obviously I wasn't going home without it.
The clear part where you can see the individual hearts is actually the bottom. To open you have to twist the lid off and inside you get a pink brush and a pink puff like applicator. After playing with this I see or rather smell why it is called mood booster bronzer. It smells like violets!
I recommend checking it out as I think it will prove useful for the spring and summer because you can get a sheer bronzy shimmer from it. Pictures soon, camera permitting...
Where to buy: Ulta, Riteaid, and CVS. Also comes with a $3 off coupon that automatically rings up on the cash register.

New Metallic Maybelline Color Tattoos
Happy New Year!
To start of the year right, Maybelline has launched a new collection of metallic color tattoos. I have been eagerly waiting for these to launch mainly for the pink one, Inked in Pink. Lucky for me, my best friend works at Walgreens and got me the pink one and the gold one for Christmas. There are three more colors as well which include a dark blue, a creamy beige color, and a matte looking light grey.
I have already had a chance to play with mine and of the two I have, I absolutely love Inked in Pink. I am not sure if these are permanent so I may have to buy a backup just to be safe. The pink looks so pretty on the lids, and it doesn't look too metallic or chilidish as some pinks can look. I am very pleased with the formula and overall quality of Inked in Pink and I highly recommend checking it out.
The gold one I have only used a little bit because personally I don't think golds always look that great on me. In promotional pictures it looks like a really bright, shiny gold but in the pot it is a bit darker. It comes out beautifully though and is worth checking out if you are someone who likes to wear golds.
I have seen these at Walgreens and Ulta from around $7 and up.
Have you tried them yet? What do you think?

Glambag for June
This month's Glambag came at a reasonable time. 10 points. The bag itself was sparkly gold and rather than a zip closure, it had a button-flap closure. 10 points. Inside were things that I will definately use:
NYX round lipstick in Eucalyptus
Philosphy breath of fresh air moisturizer
Living Proof no frizz lotion
Mally(?) permanent black pen liner- I won't be using this because it says not for lense wearers.
This bag was great- no perfume samples, no more make up brushes or random junk doodads.
I woul love to post pictures for you guys but my camera is taking a 'break' from his busy high profile job. Meaning he is broken.
What do you guys think of Glambag? Do you use any other beauty subscription service? What are your opinions on them?

May Glam bag....what to say.. It was a let down, if I have a monthly subscription then I kinda expect that once the money has been taken from my account..lets say May 1st, then my subscription should be in my mail box WELL before the middle-end of the month. My Glambag did not come until May 18th. Not a huge deal but Birchbox gets it to you within the first ten days of the month, Julep is even faster. I just expected it to be shipped sooner than it was, especially considering what was inside.
Now to the products.
May's Glam bag contained the last two make up brushes to the Glambag set, a Studio Gear lipstick, Miss Beauty Nail Bling and a Philosophy perfume sample.
Overall I was not super impressed with this months bag. Granted the products were diverse and interesting to try out, I think the fact that it arrived so late and that two of the given products were duds; the perfume and the nail stickers...the design was in the middle of the sticker so the only way to get the cute pink heart on your nail was to cut both ends of the sticker so that only the heart would show on the nail. Otherwise you would only get half of a heart and I'm sorry but that doesn't look good. Another thing is with rhinestone nail decals it is hard to file off the excess without ruining the design.

The Studio Gear lipstick is in the shade winter red. Which is a dark blood red color. I would have put up more photos and swatches but my camera has decided to stop focusing, so the above pictures will have to do for now. :)
I love the design and color scheme of May's bag, it is super cute and I do plan on using it for when I travel to the Olympics in July.

Gel Nails
So two weeks ago I finally caved and went to the nail salon to get gel nails. My best friend in the world came with me and it was fun and didn't take crazy long. We ended up choosing colors from the Gelish line, although they did offer some of the new OPI Gel colors too.
The only thing I didn't appreciate was the UV curer. The color I chose was a light pink, so the lady kept adding more coats to get a nice even color which resulted in a lot of 'lets microwave our hands time', it wasn't super hot, but by the end my hands felt like they were starting to tan. That borderline feeling of needing more sunblock or some shade before you get burned. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a BIT but my hands were cured for more than 3 minutes.
Onto the wear time. Now my best friend works in a deli so she is constantly washing her hands and
cookware and bleach tends to be involved more often then not. After getting her nails done on a thursday they lasted til Sunday.
As for me I just got them all off today..so they lasted one day shy of two weeks! The didn't chip, except where my nail itself had broken or chipped and my nails while wearing them, were still flexible, unlike with a french manicure. For thirty dollars I felt that this was worth it. Would I do it all the time? No, but every once in a while to feel a little more put together, why not.
Now I thought because gel nails is still a polish base product that having them would help my nails grow longer. My nails did grow past their usual breaking point but only because the gel was on them. Once I took it off, my nails were thin and fragile underneath and they had to be cut, they were long which was great, but super flimsy which wasn't.
Here are some pictures to share my experience:
The thumb nail in this picture is my only nail that did chip, but it was a result of a chunk of my nail breaking off not the polish itself.
I know this isn't the best picture, but here you can see that I did mine a pale baby pink. Oh the gel polish definately dried with a nice shine it, not matte at all.
I hope you enjoyed reading my experience with gel nails. I know I did, but now I can't wait to paint them in a rainbow of colors!

April's Glam Bag
I was surprised this morning by a package in the mail, it was as you can assume from the title, the April glambag. Being that this is my first one I thought I would share my thoughts as well as some pictures of what came in it.
First off, the bag. The bag is a metallic pink and a single zip closure. As simple as this is, it is perfect for using as a clutch, to help organize your purse, make up bag etc.
Below is the card that came with it describing what you can do with the products in the bag.
Also I forgot to mention that this month's theme was 'A night out'.
Now onto the goodies!!!! Included was an Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Ransom ( a dark purple),
two my glam brushes both pink, oneall over shadow and one liner brush, Dermstore brand Lip Quench and All Belle Natural Lash in Red Wedding.
Overall for $10 and free shipping, this was and is a great deal, if you haven't subscribed be sure to do so now so you can get next months glambag. Subscriptions are limited so you may have to put your self on the notification list for when they are open again. You'll get an email when you can register.
